Car Rental Terms & Conditions in Fes, Morocco

To rent a car with MY RIDE CAR, the primary driver and any designated additional driver must satisfy the following criteria upon vehicle handover:

• Minimum Age: Must be at least 21 years of age at pick-up time.
• Driving License Experience: Must hold a valid driver's license held for at least 1 full year (national driver's license from home country, EU license, or International Driving Permit).
• Mandatory Original Documents:
  • Original valid passport (for international tourists & foreign visitors).
  • National Identity Card (CIN) for resident Moroccan citizens.
  • Physical original driver's license (digital photos or photocopies are not permitted under Moroccan road law).
• Additional Driver: A second driver can be added to your rental agreement at pick-up subject to the same age and licensing requirements.

A refundable security deposit is mandatory for all rentals. This amount serves as the deductible (franchise) in the event of an at-fault accident, vehicle return with missing fuel, or unpaid radar speed fines incurred during your trip.

Deposit Methods: Placed via credit card pre-authorization hold (funds are frozen temporarily without immediate charge to your bank statement) or cash deposit. The hold is released immediately upon car return following a mutual vehicle check.

All MY RIDE CAR rentals automatically feature comprehensive legal and contractual protections for total peace of mind:

• Third-Party Liability Insurance: Mandatory and unlimited under Moroccan legislation.
• Comprehensive Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Deductible capped strictly at the pre-agreed security deposit amount.
• Theft & Fire Protection: Covered provided original car keys and police incident report are furnished.
• 24/7 Roadside Assistance: Mechanical towing and roadside emergency coverage across all regions in Morocco.

Exclusions: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving on unpaved off-road terrain (except authorized 4x4s), incorrect fueling, and lost car keys are strictly excluded from insurance coverage.

• Fes Train Station & Downtown: Free delivery to Fes ONCF Railway Station, downtown hotels, and Medina riads.

Our rental quotes are quoted in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD) and convertible to Euros (€). Prices include VAT, local taxes, unlimited mileage, and full insurance.

• Pay Upon Arrival: Total rental fee is paid at vehicle handover upon signing your contract. No advance online credit card deposit is needed to lock your booking.

• Free Cancellation: Cancel your booking with zero penalty up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time via WhatsApp or email.
• Date & Model Changes: Free date or car model adjustments subject to fleet availability.
• Rental Extensions: Notify our dispatch team at least 24 hours in advance to extend your insurance cover.

Should an incident occur on the road, our support network has you covered:

• Accident Report: In case of an accident involving a third party, an amicable accident statement (constat amiable) or police/gendarmerie intervention report is legally required within 24 hours.
